MUSD + MMCF = SUPPORTING EDUCATION

For over ten years, the Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation has been a vital supporter of the Mammoth Unified School District.

The support that MMCF provides comes in many forms; from the FLEX program, to MMCF Grants, to the Senior Community Scholarships - the support from MMCF helps MUSD provide a wealth of opportunities to the community.

This last school year alone, MMCF provided over $350,000 in support to MUSD.

MMCF would truly not be able to provide this level of support without the amazing donors and supporters - THANK YOU!

FLEX PROGRAMS

FLEX programs are offered at Mammoth Elementary School, Mammoth Middle School and Mammoth High School.  FLEX programs enable students to balance academics with their passions, particularly in athletics.  Through MMCF's support, students can join the Mammoth Mountain Ski & Snowboard Team, becoming student/athletes with schedules that accommodate their training and competition needs. Additionally, FLEX programs cater to non-athlete students by offering flexible schedules for pursuing other interests, such as higher education courses, credit recovery, and activities such as cross country skiing and hockey.

MMCF helps make the FLEX program possible through direct monetary support and our amazing Education Liaison, Lora Wehsener.  This last school year, MMCF provided $150,000 to MUSD to help make the FLEX Program possible.

MMCF GRANTS

The MMCF Grant program is an opportunity for any local organization to apply for funding to support programming for local youth.

In this last school year, MMCF is proud to say that we awarded 21 grants to specific MUSD programs with a total support amount of $140,000.

SENIOR COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

To round out the year, MMCF also participates in the Senior Community Scholarship Awards program for Mammoth High School graduating seniors.

This year we awarded an all time high of $61,000 to 28 deserving seniors to go towards college/university expenses and/or trade school.  Our awards were allotted in increments between $1,500 to $5,000.

Every spring, the Mammoth High School counseling department and staff announce  that the application is available.  This is only for MHS students and is an outpouring of generosity from the community of Mammoth Lakes.

We at MMCF are honored to be a part of this and could not do this without the generous support of our donors!
